Installation and Mounting

To begin installation, find a clear workspace. Secure the mounting strap to the junction box using the provided screws. Ensure the mounting screws are properly aligned with the backplate holes. Once the electrical connections are made, secure the fixture to the ceiling using the provided ball knobs.

Glass Assembly

To install the glass panels:

• Remove the four screws located at the bottom of the fixture cage.
• Detach the bottom section of the cage.
• Carefully slide the four glass panels into the fixture cage.
• Reattach the bottom section of the cage and secure it with the four screws.
• The fixture is now ready for lamping and power.

Wiring and Grounding

Follow these steps for electrical connections:

• Positive Wire: Connect the black or smooth, unmarked supply wire to the positive fixture lead using an appropriately sized twist-on connector.
• Negative Wire: Connect the white or ribbed, marked supply wire to the negative fixture lead.
• Grounding: Fasten the fixture ground wire (copper or green plastic coated) to the mounting strap using the ground screw. For outdoor fixtures, ensure all open ends of connectors are sealed with silicone sealant to create a watertight seal.

Maintenance and Weatherproofing

For wall-mounted fixtures, use caulk to seal gaps between the mounting plate and the wall to prevent water from entering the junction box. If the wall surface is lap siding, use a specialized mounting platform to ensure a proper seal.
