Quick Guide from the Manual
This document provides instructions for the assembly, inflation, and maintenance of the 140mm Inflatable Tundra Tire and Beadlock Wheel Set. Key safety warnings include not using this product for children under 14 years of age and ensuring the tire pressure does not exceed 3 psi to prevent damage. Always read the full manual before operation.
Specifications
- Aircraft Weight: Up to 10–12 pounds (4.5–5.4 kg) ready to fly.
- Diameter: 5.5” (140mm) recommended; range 5.0” (127mm) to 5.75” (146mm).
- Axle Compatibility: 5mm wheel hub (native); includes adapters for 3mm and 4mm axles.
- Max Pressure: 3 psi.
- Included Tools: 1.5mm hex driver, small flat-head screwdriver.
Tire Pressure and Inflation
Inflation directly affects the tire diameter. Inflating the tires increases the diameter, while reducing pressure decreases it. For most applications, inflate to 5.5” (140mm). Use lower pressure for rough surfaces and higher pressure for smooth surfaces.
To inflate or deflate:
- Attach the included air hose extension to your air pump.
- Screw the needle into the end of the air hose.
- Wet the needle before inserting it into the air valve in the wheel hub.
- Do not exceed 3 psi or 5.75” (146mm) diameter.
- To deflate, insert the needle into the air valve without the pump attached; air will release immediately.
Installation
- Remove existing wheels/tires from the airplane axles.
- Select the appropriate axle adapter (3mm or 4mm) if required. The hub fits 5mm axles without an adapter.
- Slide the wheel onto the axle.
- Secure the wheel using your existing wheel collars.
- Optional Hubcaps: If using hubcaps, ensure the axle does not extend past the outer wheel hub. Spacers or axle modification may be required. Press and snap the hubcap onto the outer wheel hub.
Replacing or Repairing the Tire
In the event of damage, tires can be replaced or repaired using an inner tube repair kit.

- Insert a small flat-head screwdriver into the hubcap slot and carefully pop the hubcap off.
- Remove the wheel collar from the axle.
- Use a 1.5mm hex driver to remove the beadlock wheel hubs.
- Replace the tire or inflation valve as needed.
- Tighten each beadlock screw in small increments, alternating evenly across all screws.

Practical help
Common problems
Adjust tire pressure. Inflate to increase diameter or deflate to decrease. Recommended diameter is 5.5" (140mm).
Ensure the axle does not extend past the outer wheel hub. You may need to use spacers or shorten the axle.
Minor repairs can be made with an inner tube repair kit. For severe damage, replace the tire using parts EFL-1333 or EFL-1393.
Before use
- Verify your aircraft weight is within the 10–12 lbs (4.5–5.4 kg) limit.
- Check axle diameter (5mm native, or use included 3mm/4mm adapters).
- Ensure you have a 1.5mm hex driver and small flat-head screwdriver.
- Wet the inflation needle before inserting it into the valve.
- Check tire pressure (max 3 psi).
Specs in practice
- Max Pressure
- 3 psi. Do not exceed this to avoid tire damage.
- Diameter Range
- 5.0" to 5.75". Adjust inflation to achieve desired size within this range.
- Axle Compatibility
- Fits 5mm axles directly; includes adapters for 3mm and 4mm.
Images and diagrams
- The installation diagram illustrates the assembly sequence: axle, adapter (if needed), wheel, collar, and hubcap.
- The repair diagram shows the beadlock screw pattern required for tire replacement.
Model compatibility
- Not for children under 14 years.
- Designed for aircraft up to 10–12 lbs (4.5–5.4 kg).
