This document provides installation instructions for the Kuryakyn Phantom Brake Pedal Pad designed for FL Softail motorcycles. Before beginning, ensure the motorcycle is parked on a hard, level surface and the ignition is turned off. Crucial: Allow the engine and exhaust system to fully cool to prevent injury during installation.

  1. Remove the existing brake pedal pad and set it aside; it will not be reused.
  2. Locate the provided FL Brake Pedal Pad and align it over the brake lever.
  3. Prepare the mounting hardware: place the Flat Washer onto the Button Socket Cap Screw and apply a small amount of blue Loctite to the threads of the screw.
  4. Insert the screw and washer assembly through the mounting hole on the bottom of the brake pedal and pedal pad.
  5. Fully tighten the hardware.

Maintenance

It is the installer's responsibility to ensure that all fasteners, including pre-assembled ones, are tightened before operating the motorcycle. Periodic inspection and maintenance are required on all fasteners to ensure safety and product longevity.
