The LEDVANCE EMERGENCY SPOT E 1.3W 3H AT is a high-quality emergency lighting solution designed for recessed ceiling installation. It provides reliable illumination during power failures, featuring a 3-hour battery backup duration. The unit is equipped with an automatic testing system, ensuring compliance with safety standards without the need for manual intervention.
Installation and Wiring
Before beginning installation, ensure the main power supply is switched off. The luminaire is designed for recessed mounting in ceilings with a thickness between 5 and 15 mm. A circular cutout of 95 mm is required. Ensure there is sufficient clearance above the ceiling (at least 90 mm) for the housing. Connect the power supply (220-240V) to the provided terminal block, ensuring correct polarity for Live (Brown) and Neutral (Blue) wires. Once wired, insert the unit into the ceiling cutout and secure it using the integrated spring clips. Ensure the unit is installed in a stable, horizontal position.

Operation and Testing
The device features an automatic initialization process that requires at least 48 hours of continuous charging to reach full capacity. The system performs automatic functional tests every 7 days and duration tests every 26 weeks. Users can also perform manual tests using the integrated test switch. A short press (5-8 seconds) triggers a functional test, while a longer press (3-5 seconds) initiates a duration test. The status of the luminaire is indicated by a control LED; a green light indicates normal operation.

Maintenance and Safety
The luminaire is designed for indoor use with an IP20 rating. It should not be installed in environments where it may be exposed to moisture or extreme temperatures. The internal battery is a critical component for emergency operation; if the control LED indicates a fault, check the battery connection or contact a qualified technician. The light source is non-replaceable. When the product reaches the end of its service life, it must be disposed of according to local regulations for electronic waste and batteries. Do not dispose of the unit in household waste.
