Quick Guide
The Michelin 12V Thermoelectric Cooler/Warmer is designed for 12V DC operation. It features both cooling and heating modes. For optimal performance, pre-cool your food and beverages before placing them in the unit. If using the heating mode, limit operation to 45 minutes for food safety. The unit also includes a USB port for charging devices.

Operating Instructions
The unit is controlled by a slider switch on the control panel:
- Right: Cooling mode (Green LED).
- Left: Heating mode (Red LED). Limit to 45 minutes max.
- Center: OFF (No light).
The unit includes a USB port that provides 5V DC power for charging devices. This port is active only when the cooler is powered by a 12V source, regardless of the slider switch position.
Maintenance
- Keep cords and cigarette lighter sockets clean to ensure good contact.
- Periodically clean the motor, fan, and control panel vents using a soft brush.
- Clean the interior with a warm, damp cloth or sponge. Use mild soap.
- For persistent odors, add household bleach or baking soda to the washing solution.
- Leave the lid open for several hours after cleaning to allow the interior to dry.
- For long-term storage, place a container of baking soda or charcoal inside to absorb odors.
Precautions
- Operate on 12V DC only. Do not connect to 110/120V AC without the optional Koolatron PowerPack.
- Do not operate in direct sunlight or hot, enclosed areas like car trunks.
- Ensure ventilation areas are not blocked.
- Aluminum fins will be hot in heating mode and after extended cooling use; allow to cool before handling.

Common problems
Check that the cigarette lighter socket is clean and free of tobacco or dirt. Ensure the plug is pushed firmly into the socket.
Clean the interior with a mild soap solution. If odors remain, add household bleach or baking soda to the solution. Leave the lid open for several hours to dry.
The cooler should not be operated for more than 4 hours when the vehicle is not running to avoid discharging the battery.
