This manual covers the operation and safety of the Rommelsbacher CT 2002/IN (single zone) and CT 3402/IN (double zone) mobile induction cooktops. Always ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface. Keep children under 8 years away from the device. Important: This appliance is not suitable for built-in installation. Persons with heart pacemakers should maintain a safe distance from the cooktop during operation.

Getting started
Connect the appliance to a properly installed power socket. The device will perform a self-check. Place suitable cookware in the center of the cooking zone before switching on. Touch the ON/OFF sensor to activate the unit. The display will show the current status, and you can then select your preferred cooking mode.

Cooking modes
The cooktop offers two primary modes:
- Power level mode: Ideal for boiling water or steaming. Adjustable from level 01 to 10.
- Temperature level mode: Ideal for roasting, grilling, or frying. Adjustable from 60 °C to 240 °C.
You can switch between these modes at any time during operation by touching the power or temp sensors. The timer function allows you to set an operating time from 1 to 180 minutes.
Cookware requirements
Induction cooking requires specific cookware:
- Material: Must be ferromagnetic (e.g., cast iron, enameled steel, stainless steel with magnetic base).
- Base: Must be flat, clean, and dry for optimal heat transfer.
- Diameter: Suitable for bases between 120 mm and 230 mm.
Cleaning and maintenance
Always disconnect the power plug before cleaning. Allow the unit to cool down completely. Use a damp cloth for the housing and a special glass scraper for coarse residues on the ceramic plate. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steam cleaners, or steel wool. Ensure no water enters the appliance from below.
Troubleshooting
The device features internal monitoring. If an error occurs, an acoustic signal sounds and an error code appears on the display. Common codes include E0 (no suitable pot detected), E3/E4 (voltage issues), and E6 (internal overheating). Most errors require a manual reset by unplugging the device.
