The Rotel 1123CH is a double hot plate designed for household use. Before first use, it is essential to burn off the protective layer on the plates by running them at the maximum setting for approximately 5 minutes in a well-ventilated room. Always place the pot on the plate before switching it on.

Safety instructions

• Do not use the appliance near water or immerse it in liquids.
• Do not use with an external timer or remote control.
• Keep the appliance away from children.
• Always unplug the device when not in use, as it has no on/off switch.
• Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.
• If the surface is cracked, switch off immediately to prevent electric shock.
• Keep flammable materials (oil, curtains, cloth) away from the hot plates.

Electrical connection

The appliance must be connected to a properly installed, earthed socket protected by a 10 Amp fuse. Ensure the power cable does not hang down or come into contact with the hot plates.

Operation

The hot plates are controlled via a thermostat knob. For quick heating, set to the maximum level, then reduce once the boiling point is reached. Always use cookware with a flat bottom and a diameter that matches the hot plate to ensure efficiency and prevent energy waste.

Cleaning and maintenance

Always unplug the device and let it cool down completely before cleaning. Never immerse the unit in water. Use a damp cloth with mild detergent to wipe up spills. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Regularly apply a commercially available care product to the plates to prevent rust.

Disposal

This appliance is subject to the WEEE directive (2012/19/EU). Do not dispose of it with household waste. Return it to a retailer, service agent, or TAVORA Brands AG for proper recycling.
