Before using your coffee maker for the first time, ensure the unit is complete and undamaged. Fill the water tank to the '12' level and run a brewing cycle with water only (no coffee) several times to clean the system. Discard the water and wash all removable parts with hot water.

Safety instructions
- Always connect to a grounded wall socket.
- Do not use an extension cord.
- Do not immerse the plug or cord in water or other liquids.
- Keep the appliance and cord away from children.
- Do not touch hot surfaces; use knobs and controls.
- The coffee pot is intended for use with this appliance only; do not use on a hob.
- Always switch off the appliance before pulling the plug.
Operating instructions
- Open the lid and fill the water tank with cold tap water (do not exceed the '12' level).
- Place a 1x4 paper filter in the filter holder.
- Add ground coffee (usual measure is 1 scoop per cup, adjust to taste). Close the lid.
- Place the coffee pot on the heating plate.
- Plug in the appliance and press the 'ON/OFF' button once to brew regular coffee.
- For stronger coffee, press the 'STRENGTH' button first, then press 'ON/OFF'.
- To cancel the 'STRENGTH' setting, press the 'ON/OFF' button again.
- You can temporarily remove the pot during brewing to serve coffee; the process will resume automatically after 30 seconds.
- The appliance will keep coffee hot for 40 minutes before automatically switching off.
Care and cleaning
- Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- The coffee pot, lid, and filter holder are dishwasher-safe (place lid and filter holder in the upper basket).
- Do not use abrasive materials or detergents. Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
- Wipe the hotplate with a damp cloth.
Descaling
Descale the appliance regularly (recommended every 30–40 uses) to ensure optimal performance.
- Mix two tablespoons (30 ml) of white wine vinegar with a jug of water.
- Fill the water tank with the solution.
- Place the pot on the heating plate and ensure the filter holder is in place.
- Turn on the appliance and let it 'brew' the solution.
- Switch off, let stand for 15 minutes, then 'brew' the solution again.
- Rinse by running through fresh water at least three times.
Tips for great-tasting coffee
- Use fresh, cold water.
- For best taste, grind whole coffee beans just before brewing.
- Do not reuse coffee powder.
- Clean the machine if oiliness appears on the surface of brewed coffee.
Environment and recycling
When the product is no longer usable, dispose of it according to local waste disposal regulations. Do not dispose of it with normal household waste.
