The Terma KTX 4 Blue is an electric heating element designed for installation in radiators. It can be operated locally via the control panel or remotely using a mobile device via Bluetooth. Ensure the device is installed by a qualified professional and that the heating element is fully submerged in the heating medium before operation.

Product description

The KTX 4 Blue is an electric heating element for radiators, available in various power outputs (120W to 1000W). It features a built-in temperature sensor for the radiator and, depending on the version, an additional sensor for room temperature control. It is compatible with the Terma BlueLine mobile application for remote control.

Installation

Important: Installation must be performed by a qualified professional in accordance with local electrical safety regulations. The device must not be installed directly under an electrical socket. Ensure the heating element is installed at the bottom of the radiator, perpendicular to the pipes, while maintaining space for proper circulation. For permanent installations, ensure the circuit has a proper overcurrent relay and R.C.D. (30 mA).

Operation

The device can be operated locally using the buttons on the control panel or remotely via the Terma BlueLine app. The app allows for setting timers, programming 7-day heating schedules, and selecting temperature measurement modes. The device features an anti-freeze mode that automatically activates if the temperature drops below 6°C.

Safety precautions

• The heating element must be fully submerged in the heating liquid during operation.
• Do not switch on the heating element in an empty radiator.
• Do not dry fabrics soaked in flammable substances on the radiator.
• Keep the device out of reach of children under 3 years old.
• Do not open the device casing; any interference invalidates the warranty.
• Ensure the power cord does not touch hot parts of the heater.

Maintenance

Periodically check the level of the heating medium in the radiator to ensure the element is fully submerged. Clean the device only with a dry or damp cloth with a small amount of detergent, avoiding solvents or abrasive agents. Always disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning.

Troubleshooting

• Display empty: Check power connection, plug, and socket.
• E1 code: Controller is incorrectly installed. Check if the head is fully hidden, tighten the screw, and re-attach.
• E2 code: Overheating or malfunction. Ensure power output does not exceed radiator capacity and check water temperature (must not exceed 82°C).

Technical data

The device operates at 230V / 50 Hz. Available power outputs are 120, 200, 300, 400, 600, 800, and 1000 Watts. The IP rating is IPx4 for the MS version and IPx5 for all others.
