The Strex SP176 is a portable 18,000 mAh jump starter designed to boost 12V gasoline engines (up to 8.0L) and diesel engines (up to 6.0L). It also functions as a power bank for electronic devices and includes an integrated LED flashlight with SOS mode.
Jump starting vehicles
- Ensure the Jump Starter has at least 30% power.
- Connect the jumper cable clamp to the Jump Starter.
- Connect the red clamp to the positive (+) battery terminal and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal.
- Turn on the Jump Starter, insert the vehicle key, and start the engine.
- Once started, turn off the Jump Starter, then disconnect the cables from the device and the battery.
Important: Do not crank the engine for more than 4 seconds. If it fails to start, wait 1 minute before trying again. Do not attempt more than three consecutive starts.
Charging electronic devices
The device features two USB ports (5V/2.1A) and a DC output (12V/16V/19V) for laptops.
- Connect your device to the appropriate output port using the provided cables.
- Switch the Jump Starter to the ON position and press the power button to begin charging.
Charging the Jump Starter
Use the included home charger or car charger. Connect the DC connector to the 15V/1A input port. The indicator light will flicker while charging. A full charge takes approximately 3-4 hours.
Safety and maintenance
- Water: The device is not waterproof. Keep it away from moisture and liquids.
- Temperature: Operate between 0°C and 35°C. Store between 0°C and 45°C.
- Handling: Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the unit yourself.
- Storage: Recharge the battery every 3 months if not in use.

Common problems
No response when pressing the power button.
The low voltage protection is activated. Charge the unit using the home or car charger to deactivate it.
Jump Starter shuts down while charging multiple devices.
The over-current protection is activated. Charge devices separately and ensure total output current remains within 3.5A.
Before use
- Ensure the Jump Starter battery level is at least 30%.
- Verify the vehicle battery is 12V.
- Clean battery terminals of any corrosion.
- Ensure the red and black clamps do not touch each other while connected.
- Remove the vehicle key from the ignition before connecting clamps.
