Key operations

The calculator features a variety of keys for standard arithmetic and advanced functions:

• Square root: Calculates the square root of a number.
• Percent: Used for percentage calculations.
• Grand Total (GT): Recalls the grand total of previous calculations.
• Mark-up/Mark-down (MU): Used for profit margin or discount calculations.
• Memory keys (MRC, M-, M+): Used to store, recall, or clear values from the calculator memory.
• Sign change (+/-): Toggles the positive or negative sign of a number.
• Clear/Clear Error (C/CE): Clears the current entry or the entire calculation.
• Right shift: Deletes the last digit entered.

Battery replacement

The device uses a dual power system: solar energy and a 1.5V AA battery. If the display becomes dim, the battery power is low and should be replaced:

1. Remove the battery cover on the back of the unit.
2. Replace the old battery with a new 1.5V AA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
3. Replace the battery cover.
4. The unit will automatically power off after approximately 5 to 12 minutes of inactivity.
