The Urmet 1168/51 is a name directory module designed for the Alpha calling system. For a correct installation, you must respect the limit of maximum 20 modules connected to a single 9000/230 transformer. Ensure all unused IN/OUT connectors are protected with the provided caps.
Name tag insertion
The name tag can be fitted or replaced only after removing the front of the module. Once the front is removed, you can insert or replace the name tag. The module is supplied with either a black (1168/51) or gray (1168/51G) name tag, which can be customized by engraving.

Wiring and connection
The system supports connecting multiple modules. The manual provides a specific example for connecting 6 modules. Use the provided 9 cm and 58 cm cords to link the modules. Ensure the system is powered by a 12V~ transformer (Ref. 9000/230).

Technical specifications
- Power voltage: 12V~
- Consumption (single module): <16 mA
- Consumption (20 modules): <450 mA max
Maintenance
Clean the front panels using a soft, damp, non-abrasive cloth. Do not use products containing alcohol or window cleaning agents, as these may damage the surface.
Installation distances and wire sections
The required wire section depends on the distance between the transformer (Ref. 9000/230) and the modules:
- 200 m: 2.5 mm²
- 115 m: 1.5 mm²
- 80 m: 1.0 mm²
- 60 m: 0.75 mm²

Protect all unused IN/OUT connectors with the provided caps to prevent damage or interference.
Before use
- Verify transformer model 9000/230 is used
- Ensure power supply is 12V~
- Check wire section based on distance
- Protect unused connectors with caps
- Ensure front panel is removed before attempting to change the name tag
Specs in practice
