Important Information
The Vivosun 10x20.75 Seedling Heat Mat is designed to warm the rooting area to improve germination and rooting. Please note that this device does not include a temperature controller. Once plugged in, the mat is always on and produces a constant 20 watts of power. It is intended for indoor use only.
General Use Instructions
Follow these steps to ensure safe and effective operation:

- Place the mat on a well-drained surface, ensuring there is no standing water.
- For warmer temperatures, place the mat on an insulated surface rather than a cold floor.
- Using a humidity cover or dome over your plant tray will help keep the root area warmer and maintain humidity control.
- Plug the mat into a 120V grounded outlet.
- The mat will raise the rooting area temperature approximately 10-20°F (5-11°C) above ambient air temperature.
- When the room temperature is around 20°C (68°F), allow the mat to be plugged in for 30 minutes before it reaches full operating temperature.
Use Instructions as Fermentation Heater
If using the mat for fermentation, check the optimal temperature required for your specific use. If the product becomes too warm, you can use spacers (such as popsicle sticks or wooden pencils) to increase the distance between the heater and the container. Alternatively, you may use a separate Heat Mat Temperature Controller (sold separately). Never wrap the heat mat with insulating materials, as this may cause the product to overheat.
Safety Warnings
- Polarized Plug: This appliance features a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) to reduce the risk of electric shock. It is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If it does not fit, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
- Do not modify the plug in any way.
- Do not immerse the mat in water.
- For indoor use only.
- Maximum working temperature is approximately 35°C above room temperature, but it will never exceed 40°C (104°F).
