Quick guide from the manual
To ensure the longevity and performance of your ZWILLING cookware, follow these essential guidelines:
- Heat settings: Use medium heat for most cooking. Avoid extreme overheating.
- Filling: Fill cookware only to 70-80% capacity to prevent boiling over.
- Cleaning: Hand washing with warm water and mild detergent is recommended to preserve non-stick properties.
- Oven use: Plastic handles are oven-safe up to 150°C (300°F). Non-stick coatings are safe up to 230°C (450°F), and ceramic coatings up to 200°C (350°F).
- Safety: Never leave cookware unattended while heating.
Before first use
Clean your new ZWILLING cookware thoroughly with hot water, standard dishwashing detergent, and a sponge, cloth, or brush. Dry the product immediately after cleaning to prevent water spots.
Instructions for correct and energy-saving use
To prevent burnt-on oil or water traces, ensure the cookware is dry before heating. Never heat empty cookware for extended periods. The hob or heating element should match the diameter of the pot base to minimize heat loss. Using a lid helps retain heat and saves energy. Add salt only to boiling water and stir immediately; adding salt to cold water can cause surface discolouration.
Hob compatibility
Induction hobs
The risk of overheating is high on induction hobs. Heat the cookware slowly on medium heat and avoid using the boost function. A buzzing or humming noise at high settings is technical and not a defect. If the hob does not react, the diameter of the hob may not match the pot base.
Gas hobs
Ensure the gas flame does not burn around the sides of the cookware base. Using oven gloves or a tea towel is recommended to prevent burns.
Cleaning and maintenance
Allow the cookware to cool down before cleaning to avoid temperature shock, which can damage glass lids. While dishwasher-safe, hand washing is recommended to maintain the non-stick coating. For stubborn stains on stainless steel, use conventional stainless steel cleaners, lemon juice, or vinegar. Do not store acidic food in the cookware for long periods.
Safety information
Never leave cookware unattended during use and keep children away from hot surfaces. Handles are designed to stay cool, but may get hot after prolonged use; always use oven gloves. If a lid sticks due to vacuum formation, heat the cookware slightly at a low temperature to release it. ZWILLING cookware is not suitable for microwave use.
Non-stick cookware specifics
Non-stick properties may diminish over time with normal use. Overheating and burning food can accelerate this process. Use wooden or high-quality silicone utensils to protect the coating. Avoid using sharp objects or cutting food directly inside the cookware.
Warranty
If you experience issues within the warranty period, return the product along with proof of purchase to the retailer or the address indicated on the packaging. Damage caused by improper use (e.g., overheating, scratches, dropping) or professional use is excluded from the warranty.
