The ADJ Monster Duo is a 2-in-1 DMX LED moonflower and strobe lighting effect. This guide covers essential setup, operation, and maintenance. Safety Precautions
- Indoor use only.
- Maintain at least 6 inches (15cm) of clearance from walls for ventilation.
- Always secure the fixture with a secondary safety cable.
- Ensure the mounting surface can support at least 10 times the weight of the device.
- Disconnect from power before making any connections or performing maintenance.
System Menu Navigation
Use the MENU, ENTER, UP, and DOWN buttons to configure the device. Press ENTER to confirm settings, then press and hold the MENU button for at least 3 seconds to save and activate. The display locks after 30 seconds; hold MENU for 3 seconds to unlock.
- DMX Address: Set the DMX start address (001-512).
- Show Mode: Select from 12 factory shows or random show (0).
- Slave Mode: Configure as Slave 1 or Slave 2 for master/slave setups.
- Sound State: Toggle sound active mode On/Off.
- Sound Sense: Adjust sound sensitivity from 0 (least) to 100 (most).
- DMX State: Choose behavior upon signal loss (Master/Slave, Blackout, or Last State).
- Back Light: Toggle LCD backlight auto-off.
Operation Modes
The unit supports three primary modes: Sound Active (reacts to music), Show Mode (internal programs), and DMX Control (1-channel mode). For Master/Slave configurations, link units via DMX cables. The first unit acts as the Master, and subsequent units are set to Slave 1 or Slave 2.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Periodic cleaning is required to maintain light output, especially in environments with smoke or fog. Use glass cleaner and a soft cloth to wipe the external casing, cooling vents, and fan grill. Clean external optics every 20 days and internal optics every 30-60 days. Ensure all parts are dry before reconnecting power.
