Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential safety, regulatory, and handling information for your iPhone. It covers critical warnings regarding battery maintenance, laser safety, and medical device interference. For comprehensive setup and usage instructions, always refer to the official iPhone User Guide available at support.apple.com/guide/iphone.
Battery and Charging
To ensure safety and prevent overheating, fire, or injury, the iPhone battery must only be repaired by a trained technician. Do not attempt to repair or replace it yourself. Batteries must be recycled or disposed of separately from household waste in accordance with local environmental laws. For detailed information on battery service and recycling, visit apple.com/batteries/service-and-recycling.
Laser Safety
The proximity sensor and TrueDepth camera system contain lasers. These systems may be disabled automatically if the device is damaged or malfunctions. If you receive a notification that the laser system is disabled, have the device repaired by Apple or an authorized service provider. Improper repair or the use of non-genuine components may cause hazardous exposure to invisible infrared laser emissions.
Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC)
iPhone is hearing aid compatible as determined by ANSI C63.19-2011. The device is rated M3/T4. Note that newer wireless technologies, such as 5G NR mmWave, may not have been tested for hearing aid compatibility. Users should test the phone in different locations and with their specific hearing aid or cochlear implant to check for any interfering noise.
Medical Device Interference
iPhone contains magnets and radio components that may interfere with medical devices. Keep the device at a safe distance from medical equipment and consult your physician or the medical device manufacturer for specific guidance.
Regulatory Information
Regulatory certification information can be found directly on your device by navigating to Settings > General > Legal & Regulatory. The device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules and ISED Canada licence-exempt RSS standards, provided it does not cause harmful interference and accepts any interference received.
