This document provides essential installation and configuration steps for the Aurora 190MM ReflectCS series LED downlights. Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the latest national wiring regulations. Ensure the mains power is switched off before starting any work.
Installation and wiring
Follow these steps to install the downlight:
- Power off: Ensure the mains supply is switched off at the circuit breaker.
- Cutout: Prepare the ceiling cutout based on the specific model requirements (see clearance guidelines).
- Clearance: Ensure minimum void depth is maintained (100mm to 125mm depending on model) and provide 50mm clearance to joists.
- Colour selection: Use the slider on the top of the unit to select the desired colour temperature (3000K, 4000K, or 5700K).
- Wiring: Connect the mains supply to the terminal block: Brown to Live (L) and Blue to Neutral (N).
- Connection: Connect the LED driver to the downlight using the jack plug connection.
- Mounting: Insert the downlight into the ceiling cutout.
- Power on: Switch the mains power back on at the circuit breaker.
Safety and compatibility
- Voltage: 200-240V AC 50Hz.
- IP Rating: IP54 rated, suitable for bathrooms and showers (Zones 1 & 2).
- Insulation: Class II, double insulated; no earth connection required.
- PIR Sensors: This product may not be compatible with all PIR sensors; contact the supplier for compatibility advice.
- Maintenance: The light source is not replaceable.

Incompatibility with PIR sensors
The unit may not be compatible with all PIR sensors. Contact your supplier for specific compatibility information.
Incorrect cutout size
Verify the specific model diameter (Ø) requirement: EN-DDL134CCT (120mm), EN-DDL186CCT (160-170mm), EN-DDL188CCT/258CCT/358CCT (200-210mm).
Before use
- Ensure mains power is switched off at the circuit breaker.
- Verify the ceiling void depth meets the minimum requirement (100-125mm).
- Check that there is at least 50mm clearance from joists.
- Confirm the wiring is connected correctly (Brown to Live, Blue to Neutral).
- Select the preferred colour temperature using the slider before final installation.
