Quick guide from the manual
The 2600-VCO is an analog Voltage Controlled Oscillator module designed for Eurorack systems. This guide provides essential information for safe installation, power connection, and operation of the module's controls.
Power Connection
The module includes a 16-pin to 10-pin power cable. Follow these steps to connect it to your Eurorack power supply:
- Turn off the power supply or rack case and disconnect the power cable.
- Insert the 16-pin connector into the power supply socket. The connector is keyed to prevent incorrect insertion. If your power supply lacks a keyed socket, ensure pin 1 (-12 V) aligns with the red stripe on the cable.
- Insert the 10-pin connector into the socket on the back of the module, ensuring correct orientation using the tab.
- Once both ends are secure, mount the module and turn on the power.
Installation
The module comes with necessary mounting screws. Before mounting, ensure the power cable is connected.
- Align the module's mounting holes with the threaded rails or sliding plates in your Eurorack case.
- Attach the screws partially to allow for minor positioning adjustments.
- Once the final position is set, tighten the screws completely.
Controls
- Initial Oscillator Frequency: Selects the base frequency. Audio mode: 10 Hz to 10 kHz; Low Frequency (LF) mode: 0.03 Hz to 30 Hz.
- Fine Tune: Adjusts tuning by ±0.4 octaves.
- Pulse Width: Manually controls pulse waveform width (10% to 90%).
- Outputs: Simultaneous outputs for sine, triangle, sawtooth, and pulse waveforms.
- Keyboard CV Input: Accepts 0 V – 10 V control voltages.
- FM Inputs and Levels: Inputs for frequency modulation with attenuators.
- Pulse Width Modulation Input and Level: External modulation source input with attenuator.
- Keyboard On/Off Switch: Disables keyboard voltage, switching the VCO to Low Frequency mode.
Safety and Technical Specifications
Operating temperature range is 5° to 45°C. The module requires 140 mA (+12 V) and 5 mA (-12 V) current. It occupies 16 HP of rack space.

Common problems
Verify the power cable is connected correctly, ensuring the red stripe aligns with pin 1 (-12 V) on the power supply side.
Use the sliding threaded plates in your rack case to align with the module's mounting holes before tightening the screws.
Before use
- Ensure the power supply is turned off before connecting the module.
- Check that the 16-pin connector is correctly oriented in the power supply socket.
- Verify the 10-pin connector is properly seated on the back of the module.
- Ensure the module is mounted securely in the Eurorack case using the provided screws.
Specs in practice
- Current draw
- 140 mA (+12 V), 5 mA (-12 V); ensure your power supply can handle this load.
Model compatibility
- Designed for standard Eurorack power supply systems.
- Requires 16 HP of rack space.
