This griddle is designed for household use. Important: Always attach the temperature control probe to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn the probe to OFF, then remove the plug from the wall outlet. Do not use cooking sprays as they can cause build-up on the cooking plates.

Before using for the first time

  1. Unpack the unit and remove all packaging materials.
  2. Place the griddle on a clean, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure at least 4 inches of clearance from walls or cabinets.
  3. Wash the griddle plate with mild dish soap, rinse, and dry thoroughly. Note: The griddle plate is not dishwasher safe.
  4. Insert the drip tray into the rails under the side of the griddle.
  5. Coat the ceramic surface with vegetable shortening before heating.

Operating instructions

  1. Ensure the temperature control probe is set to OFF.
  2. Plug the probe securely into the griddle's socket.
  3. Plug the cord into a 120 V AC wall outlet.
  4. Preheat for approximately 10 minutes. The indicator light will turn on when the dial is rotated and turn off once the selected temperature is reached.
  5. Adjust the temperature dial between 200°F and 400°F as needed for your recipe.
  6. When finished, turn the control to OFF, unplug from the wall, and allow the unit to cool completely before removing the probe.

Care and cleaning

Caution: Do not immerse the cord, plug, or temperature control probe in water. Allow the griddle to cool completely before cleaning.

  • Griddle plate: Wash with hot, soapy water and dry with a towel.
  • Drip tray: Remove, empty, and wash in soapy water.
  • Stubborn stains: Use a plastic cleaning pad. Do not use steel wool or abrasive cleaners.
  • Stain removal: Create a paste using baking soda and water. Apply to stains, let sit for a few minutes (no more than an hour), and gently scrub with a soft cloth or plastic pad.

Safety warnings

  • Do not use metal utensils; use nylon, plastic, wooden, or rubber utensils.
  • Never cut food directly on the griddle surface.
  • Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.
  • If the appliance malfunctions, turn it off immediately and remove the temperature control probe.
