Quick Start Guide
The Bosch AdvancedGlue 18V is a cordless glue gun designed for solvent-free gluing of various materials. Before first use, ensure the battery is fully charged. To operate, insert a compatible 11mm glue stick, switch on the device, select the appropriate temperature (130°C or 200°C), and wait for the indicator to stop flashing green.

Product Description
The glue gun features a nozzle (1), heat shield (2), glue stick compartment (4), and two temperature selection buttons (7 for 200°C, 9 for 130°C). The feed trigger (10) controls the glue application.
Battery Operation
Insert the charged battery into the battery holder until it clicks into place. To remove, press the battery release button. The battery charge indicator shows remaining capacity when the tool is switched on. If the temperature button flashes red after heating, the battery is below 30% capacity and should be charged.
Operation
Switch on the glue gun using the On/Off button (8). It will heat to the last used temperature. The temperature button will flash green while heating and turn solid green when ready. If you change the temperature during operation, the button will flash until the new target temperature is reached. The tool switches off automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Application Tips
Use 130°C for heat-sensitive materials like Styropor (not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE, or soft PVC). Use 200°C for standard materials like paper, cardboard, wood, leather, textiles, metal, glass, and stone. Apply glue in dots for large surfaces and in lines for flexible materials.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Switch off the tool before maintenance. Keep the glue gun clean for safe operation. Once glue has hardened, it can be removed with a blunt object. Do not use solvents. Do not pull an inserted glue stick out from the back of the tool.
Troubleshooting
If the glue stick is not moving, check if it is empty or if the diameter is incorrect. If the glue gun drips, check if the glue stick's melting point is too low or if the temperature setting is incorrect. If the bond is weak, ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of grease, and press workpieces together faster.

Common problems
Check if the glue stick is used up, or if the diameter is too large/small. Use only recommended original glue sticks.
The melting point of the glue stick may be too low. Ensure you are using the correct temperature setting for the glue stick.
The glue may have cooled before the parts were joined. Press workpieces together faster, apply glue in dots or lines, or pre-heat the surface.
Before use
- Check the glue gun for any visible damage before use.
- Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Use only recommended 11mm original glue sticks.
- Verify the material is suitable for hot gluing.
- Ensure the bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free of grease.
