This guide provides essential information for operating the Cecotec Bamba Ionicare 6000 RockStar Soft Pro hair dryer. Always ensure the mains voltage matches the device specifications and that the outlet is grounded. Never use the appliance near water, and keep air inlets and outlets clear to prevent overheating.
Operation
The hair dryer features multiple modes and power levels. The device remembers the last used mode upon startup. To switch between cool and hot air, press the mode button. Hot air mode offers three intensity levels.
- Cool air mode: Selectable via the mode button.
- Power levels: Use the level selector to cycle through three heat intensities.
- Attachments: Includes a round concentrator (for natural straight hair), a flat concentrator (for perfectly straightened hair), a professional concentrator, and a diffuser (for volume and curls).
Self-clean function
- Turn the hair dryer on and off.
- Press and hold the speed button for approximately 7 seconds.
- The fan will reverse direction, emitting air through the rear filter to clear debris. The system turns off automatically once finished.
Cleaning and maintenance
Always disconnect the device from the power supply and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth for the surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Air inlet cleaning: Turn the rear grill counterclockwise to remove it. Use a cotton bud or toothbrush to clear any particles. Reassemble by turning clockwise.
- General care: Do not wind the power cord around the device. Keep hair at least 10 cm away from the air inlet and 3 cm from the air outlet during use.
Safety and troubleshooting
If the device overheats, it will automatically shut off. Unplug it, allow it to cool for a few minutes, and check for blocked air vents. If the issue persists, contact Cecotec Technical Support at +34 963 210 728.

Common problems
Device shuts off automatically
The overheat protection system has been triggered. Unplug the device, let it cool down for a few minutes, and ensure air inlets/outlets are not blocked.
Slight odor or smoke during first use
This is perfectly normal and indicates the system is functioning correctly.
Hair getting stuck in the device
Ensure hair is kept at least 10 cm away from the air inlet during operation.
Before use
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Verify that the mains voltage matches the rating label.
- Ensure the wall outlet is grounded.
