Getting to know your styler
The device consists of several key components:
- Cool Tip: The end of the barrel that remains cool for safe handling.
- Quartz Ceramic-Coated Plates: The heating element for styling.
- Fan Indication LED: Indicates the status of the cool air fan.
- ON/OFF button: Used to power the device and cycle through temperature settings.
- Swivel Power Cord: Prevents tangling during use.
Getting started
To begin using the styler:
- Plug the appliance into a 125V AC outlet.
- Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 1–2 seconds to turn the unit on.
- The unit will automatically default to the lowest heat setting.
- Press the ON/OFF button to cycle through the temperature settings.
To curl hair
- Ensure hair is completely dry and combed through before styling.
- Separate a section of hair. The smaller the section, the more defined the curl.
- Press and hold the Release button to open the plates.
- Place a section of hair between the plates, roughly 2 inches from the scalp.
- Turn the styler 180° back on itself so that the hair is wrapped once around the outside of the styler.
- Slowly glide the styler along the length of hair from roots to ends in a downward motion.
- Release the hair from the styler. The cool air outlet sets the style.
Temperature setting guide
Select the appropriate temperature based on your hair type:
- Low (I): 320°F (160°C) for fragile/fine hair.
- Medium (II): 356°F (180°C) for medium/normal hair.
- High (III): 400°F (205°C) for wavy/curly/coarse/thick hair.
Maintenance and storage
Always unplug the appliance after use and allow it to cool completely before storing. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth to clean. Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance, as this can cause premature wear and breakage.
Safety warnings
- Keep away from water. Do not use near bathtubs, showers, or basins.
