Always ensure the thermal carafe lid is in the CLOSED position during brewing and pouring to maintain temperature and prevent spills.

Making coffee
- Place the coffeemaker on a solid, flat surface and plug into a 120V outlet.
- Fill the thermal carafe with cold, fresh water and pour into the reservoir. Do not exceed the 12-cup mark.
- Prewarm the carafe with warm water to help keep coffee hot longer.
- Ensure the carafe lid is in the CLOSED position and the pour arrow is aligned with the spout.
- Insert a cone filter into the filter basket and add 2 level tablespoons of ground coffee per cup.
- Press the ON button to start the brew cycle.
- The Brew Pause feature allows you to remove the carafe mid-cycle to pour a cup; return the carafe to the platform within 30 seconds to prevent overflow.
Cleaning and maintenance
Daily: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool. Wash the filter basket in hot, soapy water. Wipe the base and resting plate with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the base in water.
Monthly: To remove mineral buildup, fill the carafe with 2 cups of vinegar and the rest with cold water. Pour into the reservoir and run a brew cycle. Follow with 2-3 cycles of plain cold water to rinse.
Safety
Never place a cloth under the coffeemaker as it restricts airflow. The bottom of the thermal carafe remains hot for several minutes after brewing; handle with caution. Never pour liquid from the carafe unless the lid is in the CLOSED position.
