Table of contents
Quick guide from the manual
This guide covers the installation of the Daktronics High Gain Antenna Kits (0A-1340-0325 and 0A-1340-0326). Proper installation is critical for optimal wireless microphone and personal monitor performance. Ensure all antennas are positioned within 40 feet (12 meters) of the front-end audio rack and that dual antennas are separated by at least 6 feet (1.8 meters).
Components
The kit includes the following items. Quantities vary by kit model:

- Telescoping Wall/Ceiling Mount
- Locking Mic Stand Clutch
- Thread Adapter
- Antenna
- 50' (15 m) Coaxial Cable
Installation
- Mounting: Attach the antennas to the wall mounts. The threaded end stud on the mount can be oriented either vertically or horizontally.
- Assembly: Use the 1/4" thread side of the threaded stud to attach the thread adapter. Then, attach the locking clutch to the thread adapter, and finally, attach the antenna to the clutch.
- Cabling: Route and connect the coaxial cables to the front-end rack. Note that antennas already in place on the rack may need to be removed to connect the new cables. Refer to the documentation provided with your audio rack for specific connector locations.
Aiming and Positioning
Proper aiming is essential for signal quality:
- Dual Antennas: Aim toward the microphone usage area, approximately 45 degrees apart. For example, in football, aim at each 30-yard line; in basketball, aim at each free throw line.
- Personal Monitor Antenna: Aim toward the on-stage talent usage area.
Important Notes
Due to varying mounting surfaces, screws are not included and must be provided by the installer.
Practical help
Common problems
Ensure antennas are within 40' (12 m) of the front-end audio rack.
Ensure dual antennas are separated by at least 6' (1.8 m).
Before use
- Verify all components (mount, clutch, adapter, antenna, cable) are present.
- Ensure you have appropriate screws for your specific mounting surface.
- Check that the front-end audio rack is ready for connection.
Specs in practice
- Antenna distance
- Must be within 40' (12 m) of the audio rack.
- Dual antenna separation
- Must be at least 6' (1.8 m) apart.
- Aiming angle
- Approximately 45 degrees apart for dual antennas.
Images and diagrams
- The manual provides a component table showing the quantities for the two different kits (0A-1340-0325 and 0A-1340-0326).
Model compatibility
- Installer must provide mounting screws suitable for the specific surface.
- Antennas already on the rack may need removal to connect new coaxial cables.
