This document provides the installation procedure for Danfoss 013R9063 fittings designed for steel and copper pipes. It covers essential pipe preparation, the correct assembly sequence, and the required tightening method to ensure a secure, leak-free connection.
Preparation
Proper preparation of the pipe is critical for a successful installation:

- Ensure the pipe is cut cleanly at a 90-degree angle.
- Use a file to smooth the end of the pipe if necessary.
- Do not leave the pipe end jagged or deformed, as this will prevent a proper seal.
Installation Steps
Follow these steps to assemble the fitting correctly:

- Slide the nut onto the pipe.
- Slide the ring (olive) onto the pipe.
- Insert the pipe into the fitting body.
- Tighten the nut by hand initially to ensure it is threaded correctly.
- Use a wrench to tighten the nut an additional 1/2 to 1 turn to secure the connection.
Important Warnings
- Do not use a pipe wrench (monkey wrench) for the final tightening, as this may damage the fitting.
- Ensure the pipe material and dimensions meet DIN 1057/2391 standards.
