  • Hinged lid: Keeps food warm and prevents spillage.
  • Stainless steel liner: Removable container for food.
  • Collar: Supports the liner and lid.
  • Main body: The base unit containing the heating element.
  • Temperature control: Dial (0-8) to adjust heat settings.
  • Power light: Indicates when the unit is switched on.

Setting Up

Before first use, wash the stainless steel liner and lid in warm soapy water. Ensure the appliance is positioned on a stable, level surface. Place the collar on top of the main body and insert the stainless steel liner. The liner will hold the collar and lid in place once assembled.

Operation

The soup kettle can be used in two modes:

  • Wet Operation: Add 200ml of water into the inner casting. Do not exceed the eight water level markers at the base. The liner must not float; if it does, remove excess water immediately. Check water levels every 15 minutes.
  • Dry Operation: Increase the simmerstat by one number compared to the wet method to maintain the equivalent temperature.

To operate, add pre-heated food to the liner, rotate the temperature knob clockwise to the desired setting (1-8), and the power light will illuminate. Always operate at the lowest possible temperature to minimize electricity costs. To switch off, turn the dial to '0' and unplug the unit.

Cleaning & Care

Switch off, unplug, and allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning. Wipe the outside of the main body with a soft, moist cloth. Do not let the main body, flex, or plug get wet. The stainless steel liner and lid are machine washable. Do not use a high-pressure jet to clean the appliance.

Safety Precautions

  • Do not operate the appliance empty.
  • Do not use on an inclined plane.
  • Do not store or use under cupboards or near flammable materials.
  • Keep the appliance and power cord out of reach of children.
  • The appliance must be earthed.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Dualit or a qualified electrician.
