Operating Instructions
Fitting accessories to the tool
- Switch off the tool and disconnect from the mains power supply.
- Push the spindle lock and hold. Rotate the spring chuck so that it locks into place.
- While the spindle lock is engaged, use the spanner (supplied) to loosen the spring chuck. Do not remove the spring chuck.
- Fit the required accessory firmly through the spring chuck and into the collet. Ensure it is a firm fit.
- Push the spindle lock and hold.
- While the spindle lock is engaged, use the spanner to tighten the spring chuck.
Note: There are five collets included. Always ensure the axle diameter of the accessory matches the collet diameter.
Assembling the flexible shaft
- Switch off the tool and disconnect from the mains power supply.
- Unscrew and remove the securing ring.
- Push the spindle lock and hold. Rotate the spring chuck so that it locks into place.
- While the spindle lock is engaged, use the spanner to loosen the spring chuck.
- Fit the inner cable of the flexible shaft firmly through the spring chuck and into the collet.
- Push the spindle lock and hold. Rotate the spring chuck so that it locks into place.
- While the spindle lock is engaged, use the spanner to tighten the spring chuck.
- Slide the outer cable of the flexible shaft over the spring chuck and tighten the securing ring onto the flexible shaft.
Operation
Switching On/Off
Hold the tool firmly, keeping fingers away from moving parts. Switch on by pressing the on/off switch to the 'I' position and switch off by pressing it to the 'O' position.
Variable speed control
Adjust the speed by moving the speed dial forwards or backwards. The higher the number displayed, the faster the speed. Important: Working on a high load while at a low speed can cause motor burnout.
Maintenance
The carbon brushes are consumable spare parts that must be replaced when worn to 4mm. This should only be performed by an authorized power tool repair agent. After replacement, run the tool off-load for several minutes to allow the new brushes to bed in.
