The Elmag AKM 1.2mm is a motorised beading machine designed for embossing depressions (beads) into flat or cylindrical metal sheets. This process increases the rigidity of the material and enables form-fitting longitudinal assembly of pipes. The machine is operated via a mobile control column equipped with a double foot pedal for controlling right and left rotation.
Operating principle
To operate the machine, follow these steps:
- Ensure the metal sheet is positioned correctly against the adjustable depth stop.
- Push the flat or cylinder plate through the machine as far as it will go.
- Press the idle roller lightly against the sheet.
- Set the drive roller in motion using the foot pedal.
- Allow the plate to run through the machine several times, gradually feeding in the idle roller until the desired deformation (beading, flanging, or drawing depth) is achieved.
