The ROTHENBERGER SUPERTRONIC 2000 E is a professional pipe threader. Key operational requirements include:

• Tube Clamp: Always use the tube clamp when threading, even for the smallest pipe sizes. Ensure it is securely mounted and parallel to the pipe.
• Lubrication: Threading must be performed with continuous and abundant lubrication using ROTHENBERGER threading oil.
• Speed: Use working speed for threading. Fast speed is only for unscrewing the threading head from the pipe.
• Battery: Use a battery with at least 4.0Ah for optimal performance on large diameter pipes.

Overview

The device consists of the main threading unit, a gear box, head housing, and a tube clamp. The control switch allows for left/right rotation. Adapters are used for threading heads of 1.1/4" and smaller.

Operation

Before starting, ensure the battery is charged and the tube clamp is securely mounted. Select the appropriate threading head and mount it in the octagonal coupling. For right-hand threads, insert the head from the front; for left-hand threads, insert from the opposite side. Insert the machine into the tube, ensuring it is guided by the tube clamp bolt. Press the switch to start rotation and apply pressure to the machine to begin threading. Once the desired length is reached, stop the motor, change the rotation direction, and unscrew the head.

Maintenance

Remove the battery before any work on the machine. Change the gear box grease every 500 operating hours using LGMT 2 grease by SKF or similar. Keep threading heads clean of swarf and check for damaged teeth. Repairs should only be performed by qualified specialists using original parts.

Troubleshooting

If the machine has insufficient power, check the extension cable, ensure the correct working speed is used, and verify that the tube clamp is secure and the threading head is in good condition. For off-center threading, check the tube clamp position and tube quality. For poor thread quality, check the teeth, lubrication, and oil quality.
