This kettle is designed for boiling water only. Before first use, remove all packaging, fill to the MAX level, boil, and discard the water twice. Always operate the kettle on a stable surface, ensure the lid is securely closed during boiling, and use only the provided power base.

Using Your Kettle

1. Fill the kettle with fresh, cold water through the spout or lid. Do not exceed the MAX level.
2. Close the lid firmly until it locks.
3. Place the kettle on the power base and switch the on/off button to the I position. The indicator light will turn on.
4. The kettle will switch off automatically once the water reaches boiling point.
5. To re-boil, wait a few seconds and reset the switch.
6. Pour slowly to avoid splashing. Empty the kettle after each use.

Boil Dry Protection

The kettle is equipped with a safety shut-off device that activates if the unit is switched on without sufficient water. If this happens, allow the kettle to cool down for a few minutes before refilling to reset the device.

Care and Cleaning

Always disconnect the kettle from the power supply before cleaning. Ensure the kettle is cold before starting.

• Exterior: Wipe with a damp cloth and dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring powders.
• Interior: Wipe with sodium bicarbonate on a damp cloth and rinse thoroughly.
• Descaling: Regular descaling (ideally once a week) is essential, especially in hard water areas. Use a suitable kettle descaler. Limescale build-up can cause the kettle to take longer to boil and may damage the heating element.

Troubleshooting

• Kettle switches off before boiling: Usually caused by scale build-up. Descale the unit.
• Kettle does not work: Check the power supply or if the boil-dry protection has activated.
• Water has a funny taste: Discard the water from the first boil. If the problem persists, boil water with 2 teaspoons of sodium bicarbonate and discard.
• Cloudy water/Scale: Normal in hard water areas; regular descaling is required.

• Never immerse the kettle, power cord, or plug in water.
• Do not leave the kettle unattended during use.
• Keep the lid closed during the boiling process and when pouring.
• Do not use the kettle near bathtubs, showers, or basins.
