Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential instructions for the safe and proper use of the Eufab 12010LAS POKER-F bicycle carrier. It is designed to transport up to two bicycles on a tow hitch. Always ensure the tow hitch meets the specified requirements (St52 steel or GG52 grey cast iron, D-value ≥ 7.6 kN) before installation.
Safety instructions
- Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 60 kg.
- Never drive faster than 130 km/h.
- Check the carrier and load regularly for secure attachment.
- Ensure the lighting system is fully functional before every trip.
- Remove all loose parts from bicycles (e.g., pumps, batteries) before transport.
Installation
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the handbrake.
- Clean the tow hitch ball of dirt, dust, and grease.
- Mount the carrier onto the tow hitch and secure it using the locking lever.
- Ensure the carrier is locked to prevent theft and accidental detachment.
- Fold down the registration plate holder until it clicks into place.
Mounting bicycles
- Mount the heaviest bicycle first.
- Place the bicycle in the rail closest to the vehicle if only one is being transported.
- Secure the bicycle frame to the U-bracket using the provided safety strap.
- Secure both wheels using the provided safety straps.
- Check all straps for wear and tear before every trip and replace if necessary.
Tilting function
The carrier can be tilted to allow access to the vehicle's luggage space. Ensure the carrier is folded back up and locked securely before driving.
Maintenance and cleaning
Clean the carrier with mild detergent and warm water. Do not use solvents. Regularly check for wear, especially on metal parts and straps. If the carrier does not mount firmly, the quick-release fastener may need adjustment by loosening the locking nut and turning the setting screw.
