Quick guide from the manual
The Fnirsi 003A is a multi-functional signal generator designed for testing and debugging industrial equipment. Key operations include switching signal types, configuring output parameters, and monitoring real-time curves. Always ensure the input terminal voltage does not exceed 30Vpp to prevent equipment damage.
Interface Terminal
The device features four 4mm wiring ports on the top:
- Output+ (Red): Used for signal output.
- Output- (Black/COM): Common ground for output.
- Input- (Blue/24V): Alternate function; can be switched to an independent 24V test power supply. Internally shorted to COM in input state.
- Input+ (Yellow): Used for signal input.
Button Panel Introduction
The device uses a 3-key and 5-key area with color-coded LED backlights to indicate modes:
- White: Manual setting mode.
- Green: Preset output mode.
- Blue: Programming mode.
- No light: Conversion mode.
The FN button acts as a shift key to toggle between default and secondary functions for other keys.
Wiring Instructions
The device supports various configurations for PLC, process instruments, and pneumatic valves. When testing two-wire transmitters, the (IN-) port can be configured as a 24V power supply to provide the necessary loop voltage.
Fault Resolution
- No response: Check battery charge level and charging indicator.
- Abnormal screen: Verify screen connection.
- Abnormal values: Check signal lines, interface selection, and ensure parameters are within the specified technical range.
- Input/Output errors: Note that input and output are not isolated, which may cause minor errors.
Equipment Maintenance
The device is powered by a 3000mA lithium battery. It is not waterproof; avoid high humidity, dust, direct sunlight, and unstable environments. Use the provided Type-C port for charging.

Common problems
Check battery level and ensure the charging indicator is active.
Check signal line integrity, verify interface signal selection, and ensure parameters are within the device's technical range.
Be aware that input and output are not isolated, which is normal for this device.
Before use
- Ensure the battery is charged via the Type-C port.
- Verify that input signal voltage does not exceed 30Vpp.
- Select the correct signal type (mA, V, Hz) in the settings menu.
- Confirm wiring configuration matches the intended test (e.g., 24V loop vs. standard input).
- Ensure the device is used in a dry, stable environment.
