• To remove smudges and fingerprints, apply a small amount of lens cleaner to a soft, clean cloth or lens-cleaning tissue and clean from the center outwards in a circular motion.
• Never use organic solvents like paint thinner or benzene.
• Store in cool, dry locations to prevent mold and rust.

Parts of the Lens

The lens features a lens hood, focus ring, zoom ring, zoom/focus control ring, zoom buttons, Z/F (zoom/focus) button, and signal contacts. The lens mount includes a rubber ring for dust and splash resistance.

Attaching the Lens

Zoom Operation

Zoom can be adjusted using three methods:

• Zoom/Focus Control Ring: Rotate to zoom using powered zoom. Speed is proportional to rotation speed.
• Zoom Buttons: Press to zoom in or out at a steady speed.
• Zoom Ring: Rotate to zoom manually.

Use the Z/F button to switch the function of the zoom/focus control ring between zoom and focus.
