Product Description

The Hilti DD 150-U (03) is an electrically powered diamond core drilling machine designed for professional use. It is suitable for hand-guided wet and dry drilling, as well as wet drilling with a drill stand for through-holes and blind holes in reinforced mineral substrates. It also supports dry drilling in wood when used with special core bits.

Safety Instructions

• General Safety: Always read and understand all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear eye protection, a hard hat, ear protection, protective gloves, and safety footwear.
• Work Area: Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Do not operate in explosive atmospheres.
• Electrical Safety: Ensure the tool is connected to an adequately rated, earthed power supply. Always use the supplied PRCD (Portable Residual Current Device) and test it before each use.
• Drilling Safety: When drilling overhead, use a water collection system with a wet-type industrial vacuum extractor. Never perform upward drilling without a water collection system.

Setup and Operation

• Mounting: The machine can be used hand-guided or mounted on a drill stand (DD-ST 150-U CTL). Ensure the drill stand is securely fastened using anchors, a vacuum base plate, or a threaded spindle.
• Bluetooth: The product features Bluetooth for connectivity with Hilti devices and the ON!Track 3 app. Bluetooth is enabled by default on first startup.
• Drilling: Always start drilling at low speed with the bit tip in contact with the workpiece. Use the hole-starting mode for large-diameter bits to reduce vibration.
• Water Supply: For wet drilling, connect a fresh water supply and ensure the water flow regulator is adjusted correctly.

Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning: Remove dirt from the tool and clean air vents with a dry brush. Do not use spray or pressure washers.
• Carbon Brushes: The service display will indicate when carbon brushes need replacement. Always replace all brushes simultaneously and run the machine under no load for at least one minute after replacement.
• Troubleshooting: The multifunction display provides status messages and warnings. If the machine fails to operate, check the PRCD, power supply, and for water in the motor.

Disposal

Most materials used in Hilti tools are recyclable. Ensure materials are properly separated before recycling. Do not dispose of power tools or electronic equipment as household waste.
