The HoMedics 10-Motor Programmable Back Massager is designed for personal, non-professional use. Key operational points include:

• Automatic Shut-Off: The unit is programmed to stop automatically 15 minutes after the last command to prevent overheating and ensure safety.
• Heat Function: Heat only works when the massage function is active. It takes 5-10 minutes to reach maximum temperature.
• Power Adapters: The unit comes with both a 120V AC home adapter and a 12V DC auto adapter.
• Safety Warning: Do not use on wooden surfaces as the zipper may damage the wood.

Product Overview and Controls

The handheld controller allows you to customize your massage experience:

• Power Button: Turns the massage functions on and off.
• Targeted Massage Zones: Activate specific motors for shoulders, upper back, middle back, lower back, and thighs. You can select any combination or all five zones at once.
• Massage Functions: Choose from 4 pre-programmed modes: All Motor (default), Pulse, Side-to-Side, and Mix.
• Massage Speed: Adjust the speed of the massage travel with three options: Low (L), Medium (M), and High (H).
• Massage Strength: Adjust the intensity of the massage with three options: Low (L), Medium (M), and High (H).
• Heat: Activates soothing heat. Note that heat intensity may slightly reduce massage strength, which is normal.

Setup and Installation

For Home or Office: Plug the 120V AC adapter into a wall outlet and connect the receptacle end into the input jack on the side of the cushion.

For Car: Plug the 12V auto adapter into the vehicle's 12V outlet and connect the receptacle end into the input jack on the side of the cushion.

Strapping System: Use the integrated straps to secure the cushion to most chairs or car seats. Adjust the hooks to ensure the massager does not slip.

Safety Precautions

• Do not use on infants, invalids, or sleeping/unconscious persons.
• Do not use on swollen, inflamed areas, or skin eruptions.
• Do not use for more than 15 minutes at a time.
• Never cover the appliance while in operation.
• Do not use in the presence of aerosol (spray) products or where oxygen is being administered.
• Do not use under a blanket or pillow to avoid excessive heating.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Cleaning: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Use only a soft, slightly damp sponge. Do not immerse in water or any liquid. Do not use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene, glass/furniture polish, or paint thinner.

Storage: Place in a safe, dry, cool place. Avoid contact with sharp edges or pointed objects. Do not wrap the power cord around the unit or hang the unit by the controller cord.
