This document serves as the user guide for the iTechWorld X Range lithium battery series. It covers installation, operation, charging, and maintenance procedures. Users should read the safety precautions carefully before use to avoid damage or injury.
Overview
The X Range batteries are LiFePO4 deep cycle batteries equipped with a pre-installed Battery Management System (BMS). They feature an IP67 rating, making them waterproof and dustproof, suitable for use in boats, caravans, motor-homes, and RVs.
Installation
The batteries can be installed in any orientation, except for upside down (terminals facing down). If mounting under the bonnet of a vehicle, it is recommended to use a heat shield to protect the battery from high temperatures.

Wiring Diagrams
The manual provides specific wiring diagrams for connecting batteries in parallel and series configurations. Ensure you use the correct cables for these connections.
Operation
Bluetooth
The batteries feature Bluetooth capabilities. Users can download the iTechWorld Connect app from the app store to monitor the battery.
Safe Mode
If the battery enters safe mode (e.g., due to over-current, over-voltage, or temperature issues), it will be temporarily unusable. To recover the battery, follow the specific procedures outlined in the manual using a solar panel, jump starter, or a charged battery.
Charging
The BMS allows the battery to accept a broad range of charging profiles, including lead-acid, gel, and AGM. However, it is not compatible with calcium charging profiles. For optimal performance, use a dedicated lithium charging profile if available.

- Bulk Voltage: 14.4V
- Absorption Voltage: 14.4V
- Float Voltage: 13.5V
Maintenance and Storage
To maintain performance, fully charge and discharge the unit once every 3 months. When not in use, it is recommended to isolate the battery, charge it to 13.5V, and check the voltage every 3 months. Disconnect the battery from any connected devices or systems during long-term storage.
Safety Precautions
Do not use oil, organic solvents, alcohol, detergents, strong acids, or alkalis to clean the battery. Never smoke or allow sparks/flames near the battery. Do not disassemble or modify the battery. Do not use in connection with life support systems.

Common problems
Follow the specific recovery procedures in the manual using a solar panel, jump starter, or a charged battery to bring the battery out of safe mode.
Ensure the charger is compatible. The battery is not compatible with calcium charging profiles. Use a dedicated lithium profile if possible.
Stop using the battery immediately and do not ignore these warning signs.
Before use
- Verify battery voltage
- Ensure correct wiring configuration (parallel or series)
- Check charger compatibility (avoid calcium profiles)
- Install in a suitable location (not upside down)
- Install a heat shield if mounting under the bonnet
Specs in practice
- Nominal Voltage
- 12.8V
