This document provides essential hardware information for the LANCOM 1800EF router. Before initial startup, ensure the device is placed in a well-ventilated area, the power plug is freely accessible, and you use the provided power adapter. For desktop use, attach the adhesive rubber footpads. For wall mounting, use the provided drilling template.
Hardware Interfaces
The device features several ports for connectivity:

- Ethernet interfaces (ETH 1-4): Use the kiwi-colored cable to connect to your PC or LAN switch.
- WAN interface: Use the green-colored cable to connect to your WAN modem.
- SFP interface: Supports 1000Base-SX or 1000Base-LX modules (not included).
- USB interface: Connect USB printers, serial devices, or UMTS modems.
- USB-C configuration interface: Used for device configuration.
- Power: Connect the power adapter and turn the bayonet connector 90° clockwise until it clicks into place.
LED Status Indicators
The LEDs provide real-time status of the device:
- Power: Green indicates operational status. Red/green blinking indicates a missing configuration password. Red blinking indicates a hardware error.
- Online: Indicates WAN connection status. Green blinking means negotiation, green permanently means active.
- SFP: Indicates SFP module status and network connection.
- WAN: Indicates synchronization status with the modem.
- ETH 1-4: Green indicates a network link; flickering indicates data transmission.
- VPN: Green indicates an active VPN connection.
- Reset: Pressing for up to 5 seconds restarts the device; pressing until LEDs flash resets the configuration.

Before use
