Quick guide from the manual
This document provides assembly and operational instructions for the Sealey PTB181510 Topchest and PTB183015 Rollcab. Due to the heavy weight of these units, two people are required for safe assembly. Always operate on level, solid ground and ensure the unit is not moved with drawers extended to prevent tipping.
Safety
- Use only on level, solid ground (preferably concrete).
- Do not move the unit with drawers open.
- Open only one drawer at a time to avoid tipping.
- Do not step on the drawers.
- Keep children and unauthorized persons away from the work area.
Assembly
Roll Cab Handle: Attach the handle to the roll cab using the provided M6 x 12mm hex bolts.
Castor Installation: Lay the roll cab on its back on a soft mat. Attach the two rigid wheels in the center and the two swivel castors at the ends using M8 x 20mm hex bolts and washers. Stand the unit upright carefully.
Connecting Topchest to Rollcab: Remove the worktop from the rollcab, place the topchest on top, snap the connectors into the square holes on the back, and fasten with the provided screws.
Operation
Lift & Latch Drawers: To open, lift the drawer front while pulling. To close, push firmly until the latch engages. If a drawer does not latch, gently bend the hook until it is parallel to the drawer edge.
Removing/Replacing Drawers: Pull the drawer out almost fully. Locate the black locking levers on the slides. Lift one lever up and push the other down simultaneously to release the drawer. To replace, align the slides with the runners and push the drawer closed until it clicks into place.
Maintenance
- Lubricate drawer slides sparingly every six months.
- Clean metalwork with warm water and mild detergent.
- Use car wax to restore paint shine.
- Remove stubborn grease with a non-abrasive cleaner.
