This document provides instructions for operating the Skmei 1029BM digital watch. It covers basic button functions, mode navigation, chronograph usage, alarm settings, and time/date configuration. The watch features a 12/24-hour format, daily alarm, hourly chime, and an EL backlight.
Button Functions
The watch is operated using four buttons:

- Button A (Light): Activates the EL backlight for 3 seconds.
- Button B (Mode): Cycles through the different modes (Normal, Chronograph, Alarm, Time Setting).
- Button C (Split/Reset): Used for split timing in chronograph mode, resetting, and selecting settings.
- Button D (Start/Stop): Starts and stops the chronograph, and adjusts values during setting modes.
Modes Overview
Press the B key to cycle through the watch modes. The sequence is: Normal time display mode -> Chronograph mode -> Alarm Mode -> Time setting mode.
Chronograph
To use the stopwatch function:
- Press B once to enter Chronograph mode.
- Press D to start the timer.
- Press D to suspend the timer.
- Press C while suspended to reset to 0:00:00.
- For split times: Press C while the chronograph is running to display the split time (SPL symbol appears). Press C again to resume the background timer.
Alarm & Chime
To configure the alarm and hourly chime:
- Press B twice to enter Alarm Mode.
- Press D to toggle the ALM (Alarm) and SIG (Hourly Chime) functions on or off.
- When ALM/SIG symbols are visible, the functions are active.
- To set the alarm time: In Alarm Mode, press C to select hours, then D to adjust. Press C again to select minutes, then D to adjust. Press B to exit.
Time & Date Setting
- In Normal Mode, press B three times to enter setting mode. The seconds will flash.
- Press D to reset seconds to zero.
- Press C to cycle through fields: Hours, Minutes, Month, Date, and Week.
- For each field, press D to adjust the value.
- Press B to exit the setting mode.

Common problems
Ensure the 'ALM' or 'SIG' symbols are visible on the display. If they are not visible, the functions are turned off.
Ensure you are in the correct setting mode by pressing the B button three times from the normal time display.

- Check if the AM/PM indicator is correct when setting the alarm
- Test the EL backlight by pressing button A
- Confirm if the hourly chime is desired or should be disabled
