Product Overview
The Somogyi DB 1090DC is a versatile wireless doorbell designed for indoor use. It features 36 varied polyphonic melodies and operates on a 433.92 MHz frequency with a range of approximately 100 meters in open terrain. The system utilizes custom encoding with a learning function, allowing up to 8 push-buttons to be paired with a single bell unit simultaneously.
Installation and Pairing
To begin, remove the insulation board from the push-button battery compartment. Insert three 1.5V AA (LR6) batteries into the bell unit, ensuring correct polarity. Once powered, the bell will emit a sound, indicating it is ready for pairing. Press the push-button once within 30 seconds to generate a new operating code; the bell will sound to confirm the pairing. To add additional buttons, repeat the process by removing and reinserting the bell batteries, then pressing the new button within 30 seconds. The system supports up to 8 buttons.
Battery Replacement
When the operating range decreases or the bell fails to sound, replace the batteries. For the bell, remove the battery compartment lid on the back and replace the three AA batteries, observing correct polarity. For the push-button, replace the CR 2032 3V battery. Note that after battery replacement, the bell may return to learning mode; if you do not wish to add more buttons, simply press one of the already paired buttons to exit this mode.
Maintenance and Safety
Clean the device at least once a month using a soft, dry cloth. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents or liquids. The doorbell is designed for indoor use and should be protected from dust, humidity, liquids, heat, and direct sunlight. Do not install the push-button on metal or UPVC door frames, as this may reduce the operating range. If the bell rings randomly due to interference from nearby equipment, remove the batteries for 10 seconds to clear the memory and re-pair the units.
Important Safety Warnings
The push-button contains a button cell battery. Keep it out of reach of children, as ingestion can cause severe internal burns and death within two hours. If the battery compartment does not close securely, discontinue use. In case of battery leakage, use protective gloves and clean the holder with a dry cloth. Dispose of all batteries at designated collection centers to ensure environmentally friendly neutralization.
