Step 1: Preparation

Turn off the circuit breaker. Use the provided Installation Template (C) to mark and cut a 4.33-inch hole in the ceiling.

Step 2: Junction Box Preparation

Open the Junction Box (B) and remove the appropriate knockout.

Step 3: Wiring

Thread the wire clamp through the knockout and secure the wires. Connect the luminaire and junction wires using the provided wire nuts (D):

  • Black to Black (Live)
  • White to White (Neutral)
  • No ground wire is required as the plastic junction box is non-conductive.

Tuck the connected wires inside the junction box and close the cover.

Step 4: Attaching the Fixture

Attach the fixture to the junction box using the connector (1) and tighten it by hand (2).

Step 5: Final Installation

Insert the junction box through the hole in the ceiling. For new construction, secure the junction box to studs or joists. For remodel applications, securing is not required.

Step 6: Completion

Push up the spring clips and insert the fixture into the ceiling. Turn on the circuit breaker and test the light.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, check the following:

  • Light not turning on: Verify connections and ensure the circuit breaker is not tripped.
  • Light flickering: Check that wiring connections are secure and verify dimmer compatibility.
  • Buzzing: Check for nearby interference (televisions, radios, etc.) or verify dimmer switch compatibility.
  • Dimming issues: Ensure the minimum dimmer load requirement is met and verify compatibility.
