This document provides essential information for operating the TC Electronic BUCKET BRIGADE ANALOG DELAY pedal. It covers control functions, connection procedures, and internal maintenance for modulation speed.
Controls
The pedal features the following controls:
- OUT: Sends the signal to other pedals or a guitar amp via 1/4" cable.
- 9 V DC: Connection for a standard 9 V power supply (not included).
- IN: Connects your guitar via 1/4" cable.
- DEPTH: Adjusts modulation depth (active only when MOD is engaged).
- LED: Lights up when the pedal is engaged.
- DELAY: Adjusts the delay time up to 600 ms.
- VOL: Adjusts the volume of the delay repeats.
- FEEDBACK: Controls the number of repeats. At maximum settings, the pedal enters self-oscillation.
- MOD: Engages modulation of the delay repeats.
- FOOTSWITCH: Engages or bypasses the pedal. Features true bypass.
Modulation Speed Adjustment
The modulation speed can be adjusted via an internal trimpot. To access this:
- Remove the 4 screws on the side of the pedal.
- Remove the input and output nuts.
- Access the modulation Speed trimpot inside the casing.

Practical help
Common problems
No sound output
Check that the 9V DC power supply is connected and functioning, and ensure the pedal is engaged (LED is lit).
Modulation effect not audible
Ensure the MOD switch is engaged and the DEPTH knob is turned up.
Uncontrolled oscillation
Reduce the FEEDBACK setting; high settings cause the pedal to enter self-oscillation.
Before use
- Use a standard 9V DC power supply (center negative, 40mA).
- Use 1/4 inch TS instrument cables for input and output.
- Ensure the pedal is engaged (LED on) to hear the effect.
