The TC Electronic Forcefield Compressor is a classic compressor/limiter pedal designed for guitarists. This guide covers the essential setup, control functions, and maintenance to get you started.
Controls
- Input/Output jacks: Connect your guitar to the INPUT jack and your amplifier to the OUTPUT jack using 1/4" cables.
- 9 V DC: Connect a standard 9 V power supply (center negative, >100 mA).
- Footswitch: Engages or disengages the effect. The LED lights up when active. The pedal features true bypass when disengaged.
- Sustain: Adjusts the amount of compression applied to the signal.
- Attack: Controls how quickly the effect engages after the signal exceeds the threshold.
- Level: Adjusts the output volume when the effect is engaged.
Battery Replacement
To replace the battery, ensure the pedal is disconnected. Open the battery compartment and replace the 9 V battery. Always replace all batteries in a set at the same time and ensure correct polarity (+ and -). Remove the battery if the product is to be left unused for a long time.
