Quick guide from the manual
The Wampler Pantheon Deluxe is a dual overdrive pedal featuring two independent circuits. To ensure proper operation, use a 9-18V DC Center Negative power supply with a minimum of 55mA. If you are using an external power supply, it is recommended to disconnect any internal 9V battery. If the LEDs flicker when a footswitch is pressed, the power supply may be insufficient.
For connections, use the jacks marked with solid triangles if using a single input/output setup. If you are using both sets of jacks for independent channel routing or stereo, use the outline triangles for the separate output of Channel 1 and input of Channel 2.
Device Overview
The pedal contains two distinct overdrive circuits:
- Channel 1: Classic "Blues Breaker" style voicing.
- Channel 2: Original Pantheon "Boutique" style voicing.
You can easily swap the stacking order of these channels using the front-mounted Order switch without changing cables.
Controls and Settings
Each channel features independent controls to shape your tone:

- Gain: Increases the amount of gain applied to the signal path.
- Volume: Controls the total output volume of the channel.
- Bass: Baxandall-style active control. Neutral at noon, with a powerful sweep.
- Treble: Adjusts high-end frequencies.
- Gain Level (Side Switch): Three-way switch for maximum (top), medium (middle), and lower (bottom) gain.
- Voicing (Side Switch): Three-way switch for hard clipping (top), blended clipping (middle), and soft clipping (bottom).
- Presence: A global control that adds top-end chime to both channels simultaneously.
MIDI Configuration
The pedal supports MIDI via 3.5mm TRS connections. You can use CC messages to toggle channels and PC messages to load presets.
- MIDI Connections: Use the MIDI In port for incoming signals and MIDI Out for daisy-chaining.
- Setting MIDI Channel: Power off the device, hold the Left Footswitch (Channel 2), and power on. Send a CC32 message with a value of 0-15 (for channels 1-16) or 16 (for omni mode).
- Factory Reset: Hold down both footswitches during power-up to reset the MIDI channel to omni mode and clear presets.
Technical Specifications
- Power Draw: 55mA.
- Power Supply: 9-18V DC Center Negative only. Do not exceed 18V DC.
