Important Information

This guide provides instructions for assembling the 13ft x 20ft carport. Before beginning, ensure you have all parts listed in the manual. Do not attempt assembly on a stormy day to prevent damage to the structure.

Safety Precautions

  • Always wear work gloves, long sleeves, and safety goggles during assembly.
  • Keep children and pets away from the assembly site.
  • Ensure the ground is stable when using a ladder.
  • Do not walk on the roof.
  • Remove snow from the roof after each snowfall.

Tools Required

You will need basic tools including work gloves, safety goggles, a screwdriver, a power drill (for concrete anchoring), a tape measure, and a rubber mallet.

Assembly Instructions

Frame Assembly

The frame is constructed using tubes connected by button clips. To connect, press the button clip and insert one tube into another. Forcing the tubes without pressing the clip may damage the mechanism.

Attaching base plates (F) to tubes (C1/C2)
  1. Assemble the roof frame sections using parts X, B, and D1.
  2. Connect the roof frame sections using parts X and E1.
  3. Attach the base plates (Part F) to the vertical support tubes (C1 and C2) using bolts (G). Ensure you use the end of the tube without the button clip.
  4. Attach the C1+F and C2+F assemblies to the main frame. Ensure C2 is placed at the front and back with the three holes facing outwards.

Installing the Covers

Once the frame is assembled, install the top and side covers.

  • Top Cover: Pull the cover down onto the frame. If it feels too tight, pull and drag the top part of the cover rather than pulling the four legs to avoid tearing. Secure the hooks at the end of the cover's feet into the holes at the bottom of the C2 tubes.
  • Side and Door Covers: Use the provided bungee cords (Part I) to fasten the covers to the frame tubes. Where grommets overlap (e.g., on eaves or legs), use one bungee cord to secure both grommets together.

Optional Steps

Tube Braces

For extra stability, you may install the tube braces. This is optional and does not require pre-drilled holes; use a power tool to drive the screws (Part O) into the tubes.

Concrete Anchoring

If securing the carport to a concrete surface, use the provided concrete anchors (Part H). You will need an M12 or 1/2 inch drill bit to drill a hole 5.1cm (2 inches) deep. Remove the carport structure before hammering the bolts and sleeves into the concrete.
