Quick guide from the manual
This manual provides instructions for the Trufrost & Butler Wonderfry 16.2E floor-standing electric fryer. It covers installation requirements, safe operation, maintenance procedures, and technical specifications for the 32-litre double tank unit.
Technical Specifications
- Model: Wonderfry 16.2E
- Voltage: 230V/50Hz
- Input Power: 5+5 KW
- Capacity: 16x2 Litres
Operating Instructions
- Preparation: Ensure the power supply voltage matches the data plate. The unit must be properly earthed; connect the potential terminal bolt to the grounding device using a 1.5mm² wire.
- Filling: Fill the oil tank with edible oil, keeping the level between the marked height and low indicators.
- Starting: Turn the thermostat to the desired temperature. The green power indicator will turn on. The yellow indicator signifies that the thermal tubes are heating. When the set temperature is reached, the yellow indicator turns off.
- Frying: Use the provided basket to lower food into the oil. When finished, hang the basket on the nail of the electric control box to drain surplus oil.
- Draining: After frying, turn the electric control box backward 90 degrees until it locks in a vertical position to recycle oil from the thermal tubes.
- Safety Switch: The unit features a safety switch. Lifting the electric control box automatically cuts off power to the thermal tubes.
- Shutdown: Rotate the temperature controller to the zero position (counter-clockwise) and disconnect the power supply.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Clean the unit after use with a wet cloth or neutral vinegar if necessary. Do not use water to rinse the electric control box. Ensure the power supply is disconnected before performing any maintenance or service.
Safety Warnings
- Do not place flammable or explosive materials near the machine.
- Ensure the environment has superior ventilation.
- Do not allow the heating tube to dry-burn.
- Keep children away from the oil jar and oil valve.
- If the oil level drops below the lower limit line, there is a risk of fire.
- Do not dismount the machine yourself; contact an authorized service department for repairs.

Check if the power supply is connected and if the fuse is in conformity with the machine's power requirements.
Rotate the electric control box backward 90 degrees to the vertical position to allow oil to recycle from the thermal tubes.
Before use

- Ensure the user's power switch and fuse are compatible with the machine's power.
- Confirm the body is properly earthed.
- Ensure the potential terminal bolt is firmly connected to the grounding device with a 1.5mm² wire.
- Fill the oil tank to the level marked between height and low.
Model compatibility
