Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential operating instructions for the Wagner W 250 18V wood and metal sprayer. Always read the full safety instructions before use. The device is designed for applying stains, wood preservatives, oils, and varnishes. Do not use with wall paints, highly abrasive materials, or flammable coating materials.
Device description
The sprayer consists of a front section (nozzle, air cap, union nut) and a rear section (motor, battery mount, trigger). The container holds the coating material, and a suction tube draws it up. The material flow is adjustable via the trigger regulator.
Setup and operation
- Suction tube adjustment: For horizontal surfaces, point the tube forward. For overhead work, point it backward.
- Assembly: Connect the front and rear sections until they click. Ensure the battery is securely inserted.
- Spraying: Always turn the device on before pulling the trigger to prevent dripping. Maintain a distance of 5-15 cm from the object.
- Spraying patterns: Adjust the air cap by loosening the union nut to select vertical flat spray (for horizontal surfaces), horizontal flat spray (for vertical surfaces), or round spray (for corners/edges).
Cleaning and maintenance
Thorough cleaning is mandatory after every use to prevent damage. Never immerse the rear section of the pistol in water or solvents. Clean the container, suction tube, nozzle, and air cap with a brush and appropriate solvent or water. Ensure the diaphragm is intact; if paint enters the air hose, the diaphragm must be cleaned or replaced. Apply the included glide grease to the O-ring on the front section after cleaning for easier reassembly.
Troubleshooting
- No material output: Check if the device is on, the battery is charged, the nozzle/suction tube is clogged, or the container is loose.
- Dripping: Tighten the nozzle, replace if worn, or clean the air cap/nozzle.
- Pulsating spray: Refill the container, replace a dirty air filter, or replace a worn nozzle seal.
