This document provides essential operating and cleaning instructions for the WMF 1200S coffee machine. Users should perform daily cleaning tasks, including milk system rinsing and grounds container emptying, to ensure optimal performance. Always use WMF certified cleaning tablets for the milk system and Urnex tablets for machine cleaning.
Device Overview
The WMF 1200S features two hoppers on top: one for chocolate powder and one for coffee beans (500g capacity). The front panel includes the beverage selection interface, coffee strength controls, and the main power switch located under the front lip. The adjustable combi spout should be positioned 10mm above the cup rim.

Daily Operation
To select a beverage, press the illuminated ring beside the desired product. To access products on the lower level, press the ring twice. To stop dispensing, press the ring again. You can adjust coffee strength by pressing the plus or minus buttons before selecting a product; this increases or decreases strength by 15%.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning is critical for machine longevity. The grounds container must be emptied daily: push the spout up, raise the metal slide, pull out the container, empty, rinse, and replace. The machine requires a daily cleaning cycle (approx. 10 minutes) and a daily milk system rinse. The milk system also requires a weekly exchange and deep clean (approx. 15 minutes). Hopper cleaning should be performed monthly.

Refilling Coffee Hoppers
When the machine prompts for a refill, remove the lid and pour fresh coffee beans into the empty hopper. Do not fill above the indicated line. Ensure all hoppers are filled to the same level to maintain consistent emptying rates. Once topped up, tap the green tick on the display to continue.
