Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient use of the WMF Skyline 1.6L electric kettle. Always ensure the device is used for its intended purpose in a household or similar environment. Do not operate the kettle without water, and always ensure the lid is closed during operation to prevent splashing.
Safety Instructions
- Keep the device and its cable out of the reach of children under eight years old.
- Children over eight may use the device only under supervision or if instructed on safe use.
- Do not immerse the pot or base in water.
- Do not operate the kettle unattended.
- The device surfaces become very hot; handle only by the grip.
- If the connection cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer's customer service or a qualified person.
Start-up
Before first use, clean the kettle thoroughly from the inside. The power cable can be wound up and stored on the underside of the base. Fill the kettle with water between the minimum level (visible on the indicator) and the maximum mark. Close the lid, place the kettle on the base, and press the ON switch under the handle.
Operation
The kettle features an automatic switch-off function that activates shortly after the water boils. If you only need warm water, you can interrupt the heating process at any time by pressing the ON switch. A thermostat protects the device from overheating if it is accidentally operated without water.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Always disconnect the power plug and allow the device to cool down before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and a drop of washing-up liquid; do not use abrasive agents. The mesh filter in the spout can be removed for cleaning by pressing the top lug upwards. Descale the appliance regularly using a high-quality commercial descaling agent, following the manufacturer's instructions.
