This guide provides essential information for setting up and using your Xiaomi Smart Speaker Lite. Ensure you have the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app installed on your smartphone to complete the initial configuration. The device requires a stable Wi-Fi connection and a power source to function.

Connecting the Power Source
To power on the device, plug one end of the provided power adapter into the DC input port on the back of the speaker and the other end into a wall outlet.
Connecting with the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home App
The speaker is managed through the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app. Follow these steps to connect:
- Download and install the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app from your app store.
- Open the app and tap the '+' icon in the upper right corner.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add your device.
- If the app is already installed, scanning the QR code provided in the manual will direct you to the connection setup page.
Talking to Your Speaker
This device features Alexa Voice Service. Simply say "Alexa" to begin using voice commands for music, news, weather, smart home control, and games.
Button Functions
The top panel features the following controls:
- Play/Pause Button: Press to play or pause audio. Press and hold to reset the speaker within the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app.
- Action Button: Press to wake, interrupt, or stop Alexa.
- Mic On/Off Button: Press to toggle the microphone. When the microphone is active, the two indicators on the right will stay red.
Restoring Factory Settings
To restore the speaker to factory settings, press and hold the play/pause button for 5 seconds, or delete the device from the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app.
Spotify and AirPlay
The speaker supports Spotify Connect, allowing you to use your phone, tablet, or computer as a remote control. It also supports AirPlay 2 (requires iOS 11.4 or later) for multiroom audio and seamless integration with Apple devices.

Common problems
Speaker not responding to Alexa
Check if the microphone is enabled (indicators should be red when off). If enabled, ensure the device is connected to Wi-Fi via the app.
Cannot connect to the app
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and you are in close proximity to the speaker during the setup process.
Need to reset the device
Press and hold the Play/Pause button on the top of the speaker for 5 seconds.
